St Dominic’s Choir

All year three to six students have the opportunity to have a place in the St Dominic’s Choir for Semester 1, 2019. The choir will be directed by Jon Bode from Extraordinary Kids in Balwyn (http://www.extraordinarykids.com.au/).

This inclusive ensemble assists students to develop and extend their singing and aural skills in an exciting and challenging environment.

The St Dominic’s Choir will enjoy a regular schedule of performances both within and outside the School community.

Aims

The aims of the choir are:

  • to enjoy singing works in a wide variety of musical styles

  • to develop correct vocal production and breathing techniques

  • to provide a variety of concert performance opportunities

  • growth of self-esteem, poise, time management skills, self-confidence and articulate speech and social interaction across year levels and

  • a sense of pride in representing St Dominic’s Primary through music.

Rehearsals

Mondays in the hall from 1.10pm to 1.50pm for Semester 1.
